ANGÅENDE MIG

Angående Mig is hard to categorize. She has quickly taken the Danish scene by storm with a unique presence and a mutable sound that blends worlds of heavy 808s, folk music, tuned pop melodies and the absolute anger of punk, forcing any listener to actually pay attention.

Angående Mig earned praise and was, among other things, called “the most intense new Danish pop voice” when she in 2020 debuted with her hard‑hitting EP; KUNSTEN AT LADE SOM OM. The EP included the radio hit “jeg elsker alt hvad du hader ved mig” and the critically acclaimed “vrede kvinder.” In 2021 she released the EP; ALT DET JEG ALLIGEVEL IKKE TØR SIGE, which cemented her musical versatility.

In the autumn of 2023 she released her debut album, the gender‑political work MANDEN I MIG, which - with reworkings of Christian liturgy and collaborations with Niels Hausgaard and Anna Juul - depicts a story of upbringing, gender, sex and decay. Here she scored a major hit with the single “Sommerfugl,” which became P3’s Uundgåelige.

2024 saw a series of sold‑out shows at the country’s venues, as well as performances at the nation’s biggest festivals including Roskilde Festival and Smukfest, where she received top reviews from Politiken and Jyllands‑Posten, which emphasized that Angående Mig, with her presence and authenticity, is one of the country’s most interesting live acts.

Now Angående Mig is back with the EP; Hestehjerte, where she invites us into an intimate space of tender rage and emotional claustrophobia, where soothing answers to hopeless questions unfold in conversations from a 140 cm bed.
