Maya Cook weaves folk, blues, and jazz into a world of rich melodies and stories. Raised in the Southern Gulf Islands of Canada and hailing from Mennonite-Anglo-Celtic ancestry, Maya is both a musician and a circus artist. As a performer with Artcirq, the Nunavut based circus collective, Maya spent years expressing herself with dynamic acrobatics and sharply crafted storytelling.

Fresh off of the release of her debut album, salt, Maya shows the same artistry and emotional resonance in her music. Swinging between pulsing energy and dreamy reflections, you will hear rhythms to move your body and a voice to quiet your mind.
