TIMJUNE

Timjune (Tianjun Li) (CN/FI), is a Finland-based musician and interdisciplinary visual artist. Possessing an exceptional vocal range extending beyond four octaves, Timjune creates sonic-visual landscapes that blend experimental ambient music with layered polyphony. Approaching sound as a sculptural medium, their ethereal voice transcends conventional gender and species categories. The vocals shift organically from profound geological resonances to the delicate calls of birds, crafting expansive audiovisual experiences.

Timjune’s artistic work has been supported by the Kone Foundation, Nordic Culture Point, Saastamoinen Foundation; Frame Contemporary Art Finland; the Espoo Artist Grant; and the Art & Tech Award by Aalto University and Genelec. Their works have been exhibited and performed internationally at institutions such as the Akureyri Art Museum and MUU Helsinki Contemporary Art Center.
